PHILADELPHIA (AP) The way Alex Rodriguez sees it, the New York Yankees are in solid shape.

They won two of three in Philadelphia and still have a pair of chances to wrap up the World Series back home in the Bronx.

Andy Pettitte is expected to pitch Wednesday night in Game 6 and then CC Sabathia in Game 7, if needed.

Cavs G West faces more charges in Md.

WASHINGTON (AP) Cleveland Cavaliers guard Delonte West was indicted Tuesday on additional weapons and traffic charges stemming from his Sept. 17 arrest for speeding on a motorcycle and carrying multiple weapons.

The eight-count indictment sheds no new light on why West, 26, was riding a motorcycle on the Capital Beltway in Prince George's County, Md., at 10 p.m. with two loaded handguns and a loaded shotgun. Prosecutors on Wednesday added an 8 1/2-inch Bowie knife to the list of concealed weapons West was carrying. (MORE)

Snyder: 'Skins have 'let everyone down'

CLINTON, Md. (AP) Dan Snyder is embarrassed. He feels terrible. He's also hurt, frustrated and apologetic. Name a downbeat adjective, and he's all over it.

The Washington Redskins owner made some rare in-season comments about his team Tuesday, speaking at an event to celebrate the franchise's charitable program to renovate football fields at Maryland high schools. He received nothing but cheers from appreciative students and faculty when introduced, a change of pace from the reception he and his team have heard at FedEx Field during a 2-5 start. (MORE)

Ealey: Don't ban Spikes for eye gouge

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) Georgia running back Washaun Ealey says he doesn't think Florida linebacker Brandon Spikes should be suspended for apparently trying to gouge Ealey's eyes in Saturday's game.

Florida coach Urban Meyer on Monday suspended Spikes for the first half of this week's game against Vanderbilt after the defensive captain stuck his hand in Ealey's helmet and appeared to try to stick in fingers in Ealey's eyes. (MORE)
